Juniors
We are very proud of our Junior Squad who train together and compete in the annual Junior Inter Regional Championships. You will often see the Squad cake stall at West Midlands events, raising money towards travel and accommodation costs.
Financial support is also given through Association funds, and members can help by nominating this cause on the Easyfundraising platform.
The colour coded badge scheme offers a way of recording your progress through the different courses as your orienteering develops.
There are many other Junior and Schools competitions that take place across the Region and UK including:
- The Yvette Baker Trophy and Shield, a Junior Inter-Club competition for English and Welsh clubs. Each year a heat is held for West Midlands clubs to compete for aplace in the national final.
- The West Midlands Schools Championships, normally held each year in May and open to all schools in the region.
- The British Schools Orienteering Championships and the British Schools Score Championships are organised annually by the British Schools Orienteering Association, which has a comprehensive set of resources on its website.
